THE EAST END LANDFILL:  Located in eastern Henrico County at 1820 Darbytown Road.  The East End Landfill (TEEL) is a permitted, privately owned, commercial, construction/demolition/debris (CDD) landfill. In December 2011, a new management team took over operations of the facility.

TEEL provides the highest quality construction and demolition debris management and disposal services to our clients, and provides a sound environmental solution to our local communities, Henrico County, and the greater Richmond area.

TEEL accepts CDD waste originating within 150 miles of the site.  “Construction waste” is defined as solid waste that is produced or generated during construction, remodeling, or repair of structures and pavements, and includes shingles, glass, pipes, concrete, wood, paving materials, non-friable asbestos-containing building materials, and metal and plastic construction materials and containers.  “Demolition waste” is solid waste that is produced by the destruction of structures and their foundations, and includes the same materials as construction waste.  “Debris waste” results from land-cleaning operations, and includes stumps, wood, brush, leaves, soil and road spoils.

TEEL does not accept municipal solid waste, hazardous waste, industrial waste (including coal or fly ash), friable asbestos, free liquids, semi-liquids, or compressed gases.

TEEL operates under Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Permit # 524.  The total acreage of the facility is approximately 108 acres, of which 54 acres are within the permitted waste management unit boundary covered by Permit #524.
